In your role as Associate Director, SAP Business Applications (Manufacturing), you will be a primary liaison and strategic business partner to our Global Manufacturing organization. You will be responsible for driving industry best practices, providing solution expertise and management to drive the S4 Manufacturing design and enable seamless integration with MII, IBP and key bolt-ons leveraged in the factories like Loftware, Amber Road, Integration Point etc. You will also collaborate with the rest of the IT leadership team to ensure successful execution of Shure’s S4 journey to enable the business transformation goals.

 

You will also provide direction and manage the work efforts of the SAP Manufacturing team and ensure quality solutions are delivered in a timely manner and the appropriate day to day support is provided for smooth operations in the manufacturing facilities. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for staffing decisions, performance and pay reviews with accountability for further enabling the necessary competencies, capabilities and skills within the SAP team. 

 

This position is hybrid and based in our Niles, IL location. 

Responsibilities

  • Owns the technology solutions and deliverables for the Manufacturing stream related to Forecast to Produce area across SAP, MII, IBP and related key integrations with 3rd party bolt-ons like Loftware, Amber road, Integration Point etc.
  • Examines and evaluates existing business processes in the manufacturing facilities as well as key challenges/opportunities. Evaluates, recommends, develops, and implements automated solutions for manufacturing related SAP processes in line with industry best practices to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Works with internal business partners to understand current and future business process and captures business requirements for enabling technology solutions to enable automation and optimization.
  • Proactively aligns with business stakeholders to promote process improvements in line with industry practices to meet business objectives. Additionally, identifies new areas of opportunity and potential benefits beyond the current organizational thinking.
  • Collaborates with senior business stakeholders to determine business priorities, assist with roadmap development and manage delivery expectations. Builds proactive, responsive relationships with the business to ensure alignment of business objectives with technology solutions.
  • Assesses the current application stack and landscape to evaluate opportunities and provide recommendations for the use of new/existing technologies.
  • Monitors and oversees adherence to leading Change Management practices, tollgate reviews, testing standards and proven project methodology. Enables consistent level of service and problem resolution.
  • Develops project recommendations covering scope, resources, approach, solution options, risk/ assumptions. Drives and provides the necessary oversight during blueprint, solution design and testing to ensure implementation of quality solutions.
  • Provides project management oversight for multiple transformation projects embedded in the overall program roadmap.
  • Evaluates, examines, and builds a high performing team with the necessary capabilities to ensure quality solutions in the most cost effective and time efficient manner. Provides the necessary motivation, guidance, oversight, and expertise to the team to ensure quality deliverables. Manages the work efforts and resource allocation across support, projects, and improvements.
  • Works with business partners to determine and present ROI and identification and building of performance metrics.
  • Works with team throughout the entire lifecycle, fluent in agile and waterfall delivery and getting the most value from the platform.
  • Provides thought leadership on IT strategies, stays current with the latest SAP Manufacturing trends, technologies and leading industry practices including Industry 4.0 aspects.
  • Collaborate closely with the workstream leaders across Procure to Pay, Finance, Warehouse management and Order to Cash to ensure the delivery of holistic, quality, sustainable solutions.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field. Graduate coursework is desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience with a heavy focus on manufacturing solutions and at least 5 years of experience on large, transformational initiatives in a fast paced, complex environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of management responsibility.
  • Success in organizations that have manufacturing, engineering, distribution, sales and marketing, finance functions that span multiple global locations with focus on Forecasting, MRP, Replenishment, Detailed scheduling, BOMs, Routes, Manufacturing execution, WIP & variance analysis and good understanding of integration with Inventory management, Warehouse management, Product costing, Quality management, Plant maintenance and PLM.
  • Experience leading and driving large, global, transformational initiatives with deep and specialized skills in complex manufacturing scenarios
  • Demonstrated ability to work on complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
  • Demonstrated experience in determining the best use of resources to meet goals of assignments received in the form of objectives.
  • Able to lead cooperative efforts among members of project teams onshore and offshore
  • Able to follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Able to develop and administer schedules and establish performance requirements.
  • Experience with preparing and adhering to a budget.
  • Able to provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.
  • Experience with advising subordinates how to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
  • Responsible for the hiring, firing, and performance review of staff.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong emphasis on customer service.
  • Knowledge and integration experience handling 2 ERP systems (SAP-ECC, SAP S4), MII, IBP, Data platform, Third party tools like Loftware (label software), customs solutions Amber Road, Integration Point etc
  • Management of varied delivery models consisting of onsite and offshore team members (Shure and Vendors)
  • Able to direct and control the activities of the manufacturing SAP team in coordination and aligned with the key IT directors in SAP, Data, Digital commerce and Infrastructure.
  • Previous experience working with other senior managers with establishing strategic plans and objectives.
  • Able to make final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures objectives are achieved.
  • Able to participate in corporate development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
  • Past interaction and influence with senior Manufacturing and Operations leaders.
  • Past experience having overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending, and implementing change.
