As an Engineer Associate Staff, Embedded Systems Development, you will work in our product teams developing cutting edge audio systems with a specific focus on Android platforms. These positions will work on architecture and design work of the overall products with other engineering disciplines within Shure.

Responsibilities

  • Android software system architecture, design, implementation, and testing for embedded Android systems
  • Work as part of a cross-functional development team on product architecture as well as the software design implementation cutting edge audio products and technologies
  • Practice established software development methodologies and principles focusing on software architecture and design.
  • Review the design and code developed by peer engineers. Engage in unit, integration and testing of software components and systems.
  • Investigate and integrate new hardware and Android software systems in Shure products.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Electrical Engineering; MS a plus
  • 5 or more years of requisite experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing hardware/software products running Android
  • Experience with C++ on Android as well as knowledge of the Android BSP and bringup, Android system services and the overall AOSP system software
  • Object oriented design and programming skills
  • Experience with audio and/or video protocols or media-specific technologies a plus
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse environment of people developing world class products in a collaborative fashion
  • Quality and continuous improvement minded
