Shure is seeking a dynamic Specialist II, Sales Development (Unified Communications/IT) to focus on expanding our presence through key distribution channels like TDSynnex and Ingram Micro.

 

Located on the East Coast, you'll execute strategic plans, deliver compelling product training and customer demos, and support accounts to uncover new business opportunities and elevate our brand. Join us to harness your sales acumen and technical expertise in a role that combines market research, lead qualification, and strategic communication to drive success.

 

This role can be 100% remote. 

Responsibilities

• Focused on the AV/IT distribution channel, executes strategic plans to identify, research, evaluate, and prioritize market leads and opportunities to reach potential customers outside of the current Company revenue stream.
• Executes product training and customer demo to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of Company product categories. Provides account support to distribution channel.
• Work closely with AV/IT distribution channel engineers to drive technical awareness and Shure brand building.
• Works closely with business leaders to communicate growth opportunities. Responsible for lead qualification. Identifies “sales-ready” prospects and is responsible for cross-selling and up-selling during the tele-qualification process.
• Anticipates customer needs and overcomes competitive sales objections while positioning products against competition. Delivers prepared sales messaging for Shure products/solutions to move potential customers through the buying process ultimately leading to purchase.
• Partners with supported sales team to schedule calls with prospective customers and ensure timely and effective handoffs.
• Familiar with the Marketing Plan between Shure and AV/IT distribution channel and work with the Shure Business Leader and Channel Marketing team on execution as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant professional field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a sales account professional beyond entry level with a with IT and AV background.

• Demonstrates good judgment. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Detail-oriented, professional, ambitious, well-organized, and good time management skills.
• Positive attitude, team-oriented, self-starter who can work alone and collaboratively to achieve goals.
• Knowledge of CRM-related applications and marketing automation applications.
• Must be willing to be located in the region or at the location of Shure partner.
• Monthly visits to Niles HQ or other regional Shure offices for training and education.
• Ability to stay current on Shure products, technology, marketplace, and their practical applications, as well as competitive products.

• Experience in deployment of Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms and basic troubleshooting of integration for those room types
• Understanding of how Video Conferencing Platforms live on corporate networks
• Ability to differentiate between UC peripherals based on room type and needs
• Understanding of architectural documents and how to design solutions for both new construction as well as retrofits
• Knowledge of AV single line drawings and wiring diagrams
• Solution focused Sales Development
• Understanding of how audio systems for UC work with other technology like camera tracking and advanced control systems
