We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Manager, Innovation Solutions and Platforms to join the Shure team as a solutions owner for our Events and Content market. You will lead and drive strategic innovation initiatives that transform our customer experience, industry work-flows, and even our overall business. This cross-functional role works in close partnership with external customers, as well as internal design, engineering, research, marketing, and corporate functions to brainstorm new concepts and build prototypes that will forever change the future of sound.

This role is hybrid and will ideally work 3 days a week from our Niles, IL Corporate HQ. 

Responsibilities

  • Define, lead, document, and report innovation projects
  • Ensure innovation projects deliver intended business outcomes
  • Build and maintain relationships with external industry experts, representatives, and partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and build bridges between them where necessary in service of innovation
  • Translate insights from regular analysis of emerging trends into strategic recommendations   
  • Contribute to Shure’s ever-evolving vision of how to improve and simplify audio and champion that vision internally  
  • Performs other duties as assigned, travel less than 10%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business admin, engineering, innovation management or related field
  • 8 years of experience in innovation, product management, and/or strategic management roles
  • Ability to drive and manage initiatives from concept to execution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience with basic tools and methods of innovation and project management; design thinking, rapid prototyping, agile principles, concept testing, market valuation, business model design, etc.
  • Experience in the AV industry a plus
  • Proven ability to understand customers and solve their problems
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace and lead change
  • Able to develop/share knowledge and provide thought leadership
  • Demonstrates good judgement and decision making
