We have a great opportunity for a Specialist II, Sales Development to join our passionate and technically savvy team. The technical pro audio specialist will represent Shure at our premier channel partner, Sweetwater, in Ft Wayne, Indiana. In this role you will be able to collaborate with a strong technical sales team and play a major role in the growth of Shure. You will be working with talented people who truly care more about music and how it's made than anyone else in the industry. Looking for an independent self-starter, who is an expert in Pro Audio. The Specialist does not necessarily have to have previous corporate experience, but needs to have a wealth of knowledge of the industry and Pro Audio products through previous careers in Front of House, Audio Engineering, Recording, Houses of Worship, Live Sound, Theater, Touring, etc. The Specialist will play a critical role arming the Sweetwater team with Shure Product knowledge and will be generating, qualifying, and pursuing marketing generated leads and providing feedback on the programs. Additionally, the Specialist will support the sales, marketing, and merchandising team at Sweetwater in regards to Shure Product sales. The Technical Pro Audio Specialist will report to the Regional Sales Manager at Shure.

 

This role will sit onsite, at our premier channel partner's Fort Wayne, IN campus. 

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Sweetwater’s 500+ Sales Engineers to drive technical awareness on our products, Shure brand awareness, and serve as an on-site Shure resource. 
  • Integrates with the Shure and Sweetwater teams and become a part of their overall culture.
  • Creates and facilitates training to the Sweetwater team on new products, technical solutions and overall brand. Trainings may include informal individualized sessions, small group or large group presentations.
  • Supports education programs and presentations with Sales Management and Applications Engineering to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of Company product categories.
  • Identifies, researches, evaluates and prioritizes market leads and opportunities to reach potential customers outside of current Company revenue stream.
  • Supports the Sweetwater Sales Engineering team as a technical consultant for Pro Audio customer projects.
  • Stays current on Shure products, technology, marketplace, and their practical application, as well as competitive products.
  • Works closely with the Shure Business Leader to communicate opportunities for growth.
  • Responsible for lead qualification. Identifies “sales ready” prospects and responsible for cross-selling and up-selling during the tele-qualification process.
  • Anticipates customer needs and overcomes competitive sales objections while positioning products against competition.
  • Delivers prepared sales messaging for Shure products/solutions to move potential customers through the buying process ultimately leading to purchase.
  • Provides closed loop lead reporting back to sales and marketing management.
  • Partners with supported sales team to schedule calls with prospective customers and ensures timely and effective handoffs.
  • Quarterly visits to the Shure Corporate Headquarters in Chicago, IL for Associate training and education.
  • Become familiar with Marketing Plan between Shure and Sweetwater and works with Shure Business Leaders and Channel Marketing team on execution as directed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant professional field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a sales account professional beyond entry level with a comprehensive technical knowledge of audio principles and products.
  • Market experience in Music Industry, retail, broadcast, integration, and/or production a plus.
  • Demonstrates good judgment. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Detail-oriented, professional, ambitious, well-organized, and good time management skills.
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented, self-starter who can work alone and collaboratively to achieve goals.
  • Knowledge of CRM-related applications and marketing automation applications.
  • Must be willing to be located in Fort Wayne, IN
  • Monthly visits to Niles HQ or other regional Shure offices for training and education and/or Trade Shows. 
    • Could be part of trade shows, so some travel might be expected. 
  • Ability to stay current on Shure products, technology, marketplace, and their practical applications, as well as competitive products.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry’s top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The base salary range for this position is between $66,799 - $116,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for this opportunity. This position may also be eligible for our incentive pay program, which varies based on individual and Company performance in the year. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
