Shure offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

 

The Global Compliance Engineering Intern will support the certification and compliance activities that enable Shure products to be sold worldwide. Working alongside experienced compliance engineers, you will gain exposure to product safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), wireless regulatory requirements, and global market access (GMA) 

 

The position offers hands-on experience with testing, technical documentation, data analysis, compliance processes, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.  


This Internship is Hybrid in Niles, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Support EMC, product safety, and wireless regulatory projects. 
  • Assist engineers with laboratory testing and evaluation of audio, wireless, and networking products. 
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and document compliance test data and certification records 
  • Participate in project meetings and collaborate with engineering teams to understand product development and compliance requirements 
  • Participate in data collection, entry, and analysis. 

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in electrical, mechanical, electronics, or related technical field. 
  • Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.    
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
  • Familiarity with laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, or network analyzers a plus. 
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning international regulations, standards and compliance processes.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

Modeled by extensive market analysis and economic best practices, Shure offers competitive intern compensation that is reviewed and adjusted annually by our Total Rewards Team to attract, hire, and retain the industry’s top intern talent. Each internship has an hourly rate which varies from $23-$43 per hour based on job function (Engineering, IT, Business, etc) and year completed in school (Junior, Masters 2nd year, PHD, etc).
